Due to vandalism we recently boarded up 31 windows and 3 sets of French doors on a site that a property developer had bought.
We later learned that it had an interesting history, Ousefield House in York was built in 1899 as a home for a magistrate’s wife, it became a Grade II listed building and had more recently been used by the Ministry of Defence as an officer’s mess.
There are plans to restore the house and build a further five modern homes on its grounds, more details can be found here.
